Summer, it feels so distant now but what a great summer we had. With all the glorious weather
It certainly made it “cider drinking weather”.
The long hot sunny days also made it perfect weather for apple growing. The apples have had an almost record breaking amount of sugar in them this year, although they were small, they were perfect for cider making. Dare we say, a little bit more rain at the end of summer would have made the apples swell a little so we could have had a better yield of apple juice but hey, we are not complaining.
Let’s just hope that next summer the weather is a good as this year....
